Telling God’s Story curriculum is now available

Welcome to the Olive Branch Books blog! We are the religious education imprint of Peace Hill Press, and we’re excited to announce that the first books of our very first curriculum, Telling God’s Story, are now available:

  • the Parents’ Guide, a “how-to” book which helps parents and instructors better understand what the Bible is, and how best to teach it to children. Written by experienced Bible teacher and parent Peter Enns.
  • the Year One Instructor Text and Teaching Guide,  a year’s worth of first-grade lessons based on the life of Jesus, from the Gospels. Each chapter contains a background explanation to help the instructor understand that week’s text, the biblical text itself, and then an engaging lesson designed for young children to understand. By Peter Enns.
  • the Year One Activity Book, designed to accompany the Instructor Text, gives a wealth of projects, crafts, coloring pages, games, activities, recipes, and memory work for all of the first-grade lessons. Edited by Justin Moore, with activities and illustrations from a team of parents, educators, and artists. Some of the same people who helped create the activity books for the Story of the World series have returned to lend us their expertise on this new curriculum.

We’ll go ahead and brag a bit: they’re awesome.

Samples from all of these books are available on the Olive Branch Books site, and we encourage you to check them out.
